Bow and arrow

Bow and arrow is the most famous ranged weapon, before showing the different kind of the bow, knowing the basic composition of bow is necessary.

Composition of bow:
upper limb, riser/handel, lower limb, bow tip, string nock, face, bow sight, pivot point, recurve, back, sight window, arrow rest, nocking point locator, brace height, centre serving, bow grip, bowstring.

Ancient times, even the people lived in different countries, but almost all of them used bow and arrow as the weapon, it seems that the bow is simple and unitary, in fact there are differents kind of bow such as cross bow, longbow, yumi, composite bow, Korean bow, reflex bow, recurve bow, compound bow, let me show you some images to know more about it.

Hi,all that you have given here is great but you know,in contemporary no where we could find people using Bow and arrow although it's quite very useful weapon since many years...Here everyone seems focusing much on self defense that too with no weapons,so all that one needs to know is martial arts is a prestigious sport that is heaving with every thing from first to last...gud day

There are many martial arts using tradtional weapons, that no one would use in self defense. Martial arts are not only about self defense, it's also a hobby for many people.

Kyudo for example is a japanese traditional martial art using bow and arrow :
